Donations of Building Materials for Building Homes
Habitat for Humanity Lakeside gladly accepts donations of new building materials for the homes we build and rehab. Examples of these types of gifts-in-kind include excavation and backfill, heating, plumbing materials, roofing materials, lumber, and concrete.
The Habitat ReStore
The Habitat ReStore gladly accepts donations of quality new and used building materials, such as kitchens cabinets, windows, doors, bathrooms and lighting fixtures. If you are interested in donating to our Habitat ReStore click here for more details.
Habitat for Humanity Lakeside is also accepting donations of items for the office, items such as print services, office equipment, photocopier supplies, postage, paper, etc are all welcome “gifts in kind.” Please call the Habitat Office, if you can donate such items. Also, please view our wishlist for specific items that we are looking to have donated to Habitat Lakeside’s office.
Donations to Support Building Site Volunteers
It takes a lot to keep Habitat for Humanity Lakeside’s volunteers, nourished, quenched, and clean while they are working on a building site. Lunch, bottled water, juice boxes, non-perishable snacks, like pretzels, cookies and granola bars are always in demand. Toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels and sunscreen are also typical items we need. The little things count too!
Donations of Professional Services and Skilled Labor
Habitat also benefits from donations of professional services including legal, marketing, writing, tax preparation, and design. These professional services help Habitat for Humanity Lakeside build its capacity and allow us to function efficiently. We also gladly accept donations of skilled labor. Donations of skilled labor ensure that the homes that we build, rehab, and maintain stay affordable for our partner families and will remain quality homes for years to come.
If you are considering a Gift In-Kind Donation, please contact Habitat for Humanity Lakeside’s Executive Director for more information and to discuss your donation!
